Walmart Connect

Walmart Connect is Walmart’s, “omnichannel retail media business,” and they grew a whopping 26% in just Q3 of this year alone.  Walmart’s strategy is clear:

  1. Vendors pay Walmart Connect to target their ads.  
  2. Walmart Connect streams their ads on VIZIO televisions (along with other marketing channels).
  3. Walmart’s in-store and online sales benefit.

To this end, I expect VIZIO televisions to be sold at near-cost so as to increase market share and, therefore, increase targeted ad penetration.  As VIZIO grows in more homes and becomes a recognizable force for targeting ads, Walmart Connect's revenue will continue to have whopping gains.
